Felicity is a marine biologist, skipper and guide with a strong passion for marine conservation. Working on the water for over 8 years has allowed her to gain a range of experience in marine conservation and marine mammal field research in the polar regions, UK, New Zealand and South Africa.
Most recently she has moved to live and work in Vancouver, Canada, where she is a field researcher for Simon Fraser University and a captain of a local whale watching company that explores the waters around Vancouver Island. Growing up in Scotland, Felicity discovered a love for the outdoors during childhood holidays to the coast and hills of Scotland. She began by teaching sailing during the school holidays and then went on to study marine biology at university. During her degree, marine pollution grabbed Felicity’s attention and she has since believed it is her professional and personal responsibility to apply her knowledge and skills to contribute to ocean conservation by organizing events and talks to help spread awareness of the changing climate. |
