Michael Gamerl 
Advisory Board Member

Perhaps being born on the island of Okinawa is what connects Michael to the ocean.  He taught marine science to students from throughout the Southwest United States and has been in education for 30 years.  His philosophy is that travel, and specifically adventure travel, liberates and unites people to each other and the planet.

Michael has a B.A in Economics from UC, Irvine and a M.Sc. in Economics of the Sea from The London School of Economics where he also studied physical oceanography and marine biology.

When not on an adventure somewhere in the world, Michael can be found walking the beaches and hiking the canyons of Southern California.
