Media Assistant

Woman with brown hair smiling while standing in front of trees.
Julian Sitemba is an exceptional marine researcher and explorer who seamlessly merges science, art and music to illuminate the wonders of marine science and our oceans. With a strong background in biology, biotechnology, and two Masters Degrees in: “Environmental Planning & Management”, and the
multidisciplinary “Marine Science” degree from the University of Milano, Bicocca in Italy, Julian’s insatiable curiosity drives her to unravel the mysteries that are hidden beneath the ocean’s surface, while her creative spirit breathes life into captivating visual narratives. Julian’s ability to merge science, art, and digital
innovation captivates audiences evoking a sense of wonder and curiosity, making scientific story-telling her forte.

Julian hopes to embark on many extraordinary adventures where science, art and music converge to showcase the marvels of marine science. Through captivating visuals, thought-provoking narratives, and melodious compositions, she aims to inspire and empower others to embrace their own unique intersections of passion. Indeed, Julian has authored a children series book that aims to introduce young learners and the youth to themes in ocean and terrestrial science and spike their curiosity in the world of science.

When Julian is not lost in the wonders of the marine world, snorkeling and trudging through sea grass meadows, beach sand and nature, you can find her volunteering with Rotaract Clubs in important humanitarian causes like book-piling libraries for juvenile detainees, hiking rough terrains with the Duke of
Edinburgh’s Award, and coastal clean-up initiatives. She is also adept at creating digital portraits, singing, dancing, and playing the piano.
